LOCAL MAN LEARNS HARD WAY

About Me

I spend more time in my own head than I do with the rest of you.I play pretend while walking down the street, driving in my car, doing menial tasks.I sing to alleviate boredom.I often blank out during conversation. People assume I'm thinking relly hard about what's going on inside my head. The truth is that I'm trying really hard to have something going on in my head that I can talk about. It's really one of the only times that my brain just plain stops.I don't like cell phones, but now I'm hooked in with everyone else.I hit people with boffer weapons.I've been on stage in a little pink dress.... oh, and I'm a d20, it would appear.

Strangely, I got this quiz from one of my non-nerdy friends...

My Interests

I like to read a lot of fantasy.I also like moral ambiguity. It makes me really uncomfortable in life, but I love pondering over it.Zelda. I love Zelda.Re-writing my myspace profile info when I should be going to bed and getting ready for an 8 a.m. class.Non-contrived happy endings.Shakespeare.War: It's FANtastic!

I'd like to meet:

The Genie of the Lamp.Jeremy Lister... I think we'd fight.A deadline. My latent superpowers. They're there. I know they are.

Music:

I like music that makes me laugh, lifts my spirits, or give me some kind of catharsis. I takes all kinds, but my CD collection is tragically full of angsty music.I like lots of happy music, I just don't seem to have any. It's really pretty damned annoying when I'm having a good day.

Movies:

Braveheart, Gladiator, Death to Smoochy, Star Wars IV through VI (particularly V), Resevoir Dogs, The Rock, Frequency, Pay It Forward, several Disney movies that I don't care to list, The Princess Bride, Othello (Branaugh and Fishburn), Lord of the Rings I through III, Space Balls, Blazing Saddles, Saving Private Ryan, Young Guns I and II, all the Indiana Jones Movies, Sixth Sense, The Devil's own, L.A. Confidential... and a whole lot more that I just don't want to write down...I tend to be a sucker for tragic hero movies and cheesey 'Win the girl, beat the bad guy' movies.

Television:

Do DVDs of past seasons count?I luv me some Lost, Firefly, 24, and Scrubs.I bet I'd love Heroes. Don't wanna jump in now though. I'll wait for the damn DVDs... again.

Books:

The Prydain Series (The Book of Three, The Black Cauldron, etc.) by Lloyd Alexander, A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin, Dragon Lance Chronicles by Margret Weiss and Tracy Hickman,The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide by Douglas Adams

Heroes:

Indiana JonesJaime LannisterWilliam WallaceHan SoloSpidermanTyrion LannisterBatman

Okay, I'm a bit more calm than I've been in the past few days. The impending days off help, though I have to confess that the freedom is a sort of slap in the face right now. Still, I've got poker nig...
