Thanks, Nic, for pointing me to this site! If I had sufficient hair to let down, this is where I'd do it. :)Now a little tiny bit about me: When I need to get out of downtown Toronto, I GET. I had the open road itch long before reading Kerouac and reading him just made me wanna scratch that much harder. Dream trip not yet taken? Easy: Route 66 (well, what's left of it, anyway) from Chicago to Santa Monica. New knee, first...Haven't made it, yet, to much of the south central US. :( Last time I tried, I got sick and had to turn back. Made for a really miserable trip home. Try talking to customs and immigration officers whilst coughing your lungs out.When I'm not traveling, I'm earning travel money at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation where I help feed the country our spectacular (uh-huh) television programming. Well, a guy's gotta earn a living, eh? And when I'm not doing that, I'm doing my music directing stuff. Got a show coming up in April '07 (THE MIKADO) and have an ongoing orchestra commitment that keeps me off the street. Different strokes, folks. Not a bad gig for a guy who plays bassoon and contrabassoon, eh? He sings too, so watch out.To update part of the previous para, I've taken a break from theatre and am enjoying the hiatus. Did a one-off performance of TRIAL BY JURY on September 28 but that's all I had lined up for this season. Nice to be audience for a while.Hobbies? Oh, yeah. Besides travel and writing, I love trains (yup, I'm one of "them"), airplanes, amateur radio (that's ham radio, btw), photography and some other things, though to a lesser extent. I no longer work weird hours and have finally realized a career goal: Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. Okay, 10:30 to 6:30, but you get the drift. I'm still a night owl but I can get in the late hours on weekends and vacations, just like real people.I'll add to or subtract from this screed as the urge moves me.
