About Me

I was born in Charleston and raised in Columbia. My family moved to Walterboro when I was fifteen. I graduated from high school there, got married and had three beautiful boys who are now very tall men. I started writing songs to simply have something to do other than housework and taking care of children. I needed not only a way to express myself, but also a hobby of sorts. I can't play anything fancy, but I can accompany myself on guitar and sing lyrics that are somewhat personal to me.I've been playing and writing songs for about 10 years. I haven't really had a gig. I've been raising children. I have played at a few open mics here and there. I am currently recording small project.

Influences: Some of my influences are Sarah McLachlan, Dido, Alanis Morisette, and Jewel. An inspirational influence to me would be Steve Perry, the former singer of the 80s Rock group Journey.
