I love cooking, music, pictures, reading, my computers, and my home. I'm a Steelers fan. I talk a lot but I know that. I'm proud of my family and all that we've made it through. I enjoy quotations and my world revolves around song lyrics. I love all things food except olives, sweet pickles, mustard (I can cook with it though), and capers.
A gorgeous guy (Russian accent a plus), tall and built like a young Alan Alda (circa 1973) with a sense of humor & personality like no other and a kindness that won't go unnoticed. He's patient, sane, emotionally stable, and a great kisser. Additionally, he's intelligent, musically-inclined, and a nerd at heart. I want that "song lyrics, "happily ever after" movie" kind of love and to lose myself in his kiss. Is that too much to ask?
Otherwise, Johnny Depp. Until I meet "Mr. Right", Johnny Depp is the HOTTEST man on this planet - what I wouldn't do with him. Orlando Bloom is a close second...needless to say, I'm a fan of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. But I digress...I'd love to meet my celebrity chef idols: Bobby Flay, Rachael Ray, Mario Batali, Paula and Bobby Deen, Emeril, Wolfgang Puck, and Alton Brown. Since so much of what I know is due to Julia Child, I'd love to be able to cook a true French meal with her. Jonathan Larson would be a great person to have a cup of coffee with, just so I could explain to him how far RENT has come since opening night - to tell him how it changed so many lives and what he's missed. I want to meet Alan Alda so he can teach me how to do the Lindy. George Lucas has to make an appearance on this list somewhere. John Lasseter (pioneer of Pixar) seems like an awesome person. Johnny Reznick, The Dixie Chicks, Johnny and June Carter Cash, Kenny Loggins, Rob Thomas, John Williams, Adam Pascal, Anthony Rapp...all the people who influenced me, whether it be musically, theatrically, culinarily, or any combination of the former.
I do enjoy music, everything from southern rock, modern rock, and classic rock, to pop, country, and classical - and everything in between.
Star Wars; anything with Will Ferrell, Johnny Depp, Mandy Moore, Julia Stiles, and Tom Hanks; anything by Judd Apatow; sports movies like Coach Carter, Miracle, and Remember the Titans; "based on a true story" movies, such as Radio, Take The Lead, and Catch Me If You Can; crime dramas if they are done correctly; all Disney/Pixar movies; and just about anything I deem as worth seeing.
M*A*S*H, DEXTER, The Office, Deadliest Catch (go Northwestern!), ArmyWives, the Food Network, Project Runway, Comedy Central Presents, Mythbusters, and generally anything on Discovery, Discovery Health, the History Channel, or my onDemand channels.
Biographies, non-fiction, teen fiction, and the Malory novels by Johanna Lindsey.
My Dad.
