About Me

Yes I love people and Jesus. And food. Good food. And Jesus. And good music. And trees. And understanding stuff. And knowing love. And Jesus. Can you see a pattern here...? Get this FREE MySpace layout and more at MySpaceOrYours.net

My Interests

I love my language (Afrikaans), and write poetry occasion. Not all good, but anyway... And most of it Afrikaans usually.Like hunting, fishing, mountains, good food and good fun with good friends. I love deep, strong relationships. Love my family, love Jesus (very much!)Have a passion for the nations and people groups that do not know the Lord. Love to see people really be fully alive. Expressing their inner selves in beauty. Wow, people are so amazing.Love reading and understanding stuff. The Bible is SUCH an amazing book!! I love it!! It makes my eyes light up and goes like sweet food down my throat.Like good stories.Like the outdoors, fires, ropes, fishing, hunting, making things with wood and knowing how to fix things. I like solving problems and having people get along well (unnecessary conflict is one of the things I hate the most in life. Why argue? Love each other and appreciate people)

I'd like to meet:

More good people who laugh easily, do not have many hang ups and are easy to get along with. Like to experience more of Jesus in others. It is to fun to see people blossom ('The glory of God is man fully alive' as some man said once upon a time). Most of the ones I would like to meet have passed away (gone to sleep). But I think some of the most interesting people I will ever know I probably have met already; and they might only see themselves as ordinary. And yet they are not. 'Very significant they are' (as Joda might put it). Being yourself in Christ will impress the most. When I finally lay my head to rest, I would like to say that I have known and loved many. Some people say that when we get to heaven they will want to go and spend time with Abraham, Paul, Moses and all of those dudes. I would say: Eventually yes, but I think we might take a few million years to get over the shock and awe (and inspired love) of seeing Jesus. Moses and Elijah and all of those cool dudes will impress I am sure. But more precisely I think that perhaps as we see them more in the image of Christ, will we appreciate the work of God on earth even more. It's gonna be awesome!!! all tongues, tribes and nations. In unity. Wow!!

Music:

Coldplay, U2, Delirious, Thrid Day, Kevin Prosch, Morningstar, Jack Johnson, Damion Rice, Laurika Rauch, Koos Du Plessis, Lukas Maree, Cat Stevens, Jason Upton, David Crowder, Mozart, Vivaldi, Aradhna, CCR, some 60s stuff, and many other Oldies. There is so much I like. Some jazz, some classical, contemporary stuff, more hard core kind of stuff; all kinds. Music from 40 Days and other Factory gatherings. The list goes on.

Movies:

As good as it gets, Shawshank Redemption, We were soldiers, Braveheart, Lord of the Rings, The professinoal, Hook, Ice Age, Patch Adams, Tombstone, Fight Club, Finding Forrester, Dunmb and Dumber, etc.

Television:

Seinfeld, the Simpsons, National Geographic, good documentaries, Tri-Nations (New Zealand, South Africa and Australia) rugby matches, Animaniacs.

Books:

The Kite Runner, The Final Quest and other writings by Rick Joyner, Mountain Rain (about the life of James Frasier; missionary among the Lisu people in China), The biographies of Hudson Taylor and George Muller (as written by Roger Steer), Skaduwees van Nasaret (Shadows of Nazareth) by C.J. Langenhoven, The book called 'Sergio' about a young man who was in the Russian police force and tasked with persecuting Christians (powerful impact on me), The Bible (the loveliest book and the source of endless good life and strength in society and personal life. But let us live it. For if you do not live it, you do not yet know it. Our loving opinions aside from our loving actions show us all the more to be but men), Joshua by Girzone.

Heroes:

So many people!! Heroes are not just ones you hear about in legends, but ones who are legends in their own lunch time (as my friend Quintin Lake has often said). I love seeing the good in other people, and that is often very heroic of them to act in such a way. For often to act in good conscience and character is the most heroic thing one can do. And I love seeing it. Purity is so beautiful. But for the sake of making lists, here goes: God my Father, Jesus, the little guy who acts with integrity and does the best he can for the children every day even without much praise, Lynn Green and his family, Loren Cunningham, James Frasier, Hudson Taylor, George Muller, Smith Wigglesworth, many people on our YWAM base, Many people in South Africa, my family in South Africa and Austria, the Atkins family, etc.And so many other people. Your heroism becomes more apparent to me if I know you or have seen you in action. Most of you would be labelled as heroies in my eyes if I have known you for more than a little while. Sometimes I find it easier to see the image of God in people than at other times. But the blueprint of everry man/woman is always divine (heroic if you want to call it that).
