About Me

SOME RANDOM GUY is ROD MORISON's solo project, mainly done for his own amusement. Rod is the guitarist with KROFTWERK, the Outer Hebrides's finest hard rock outfit, and has previously played with gentle acoustic folkie strummers CALASAIG and lunatic Death Ceilidh combo the OATCAKES. He has also recently been involved with OPEN DAY ROTATION, the new project from WILLIAM CAMPBELL of ASTRID and OUR SMALL CAPITAL fame.

I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!

The Last Lap

I've been feeling a bit low this week. Probably the knowledge that we're reaching the end of the run and I'm soon going to have to say goodbye to Kermit Roosevelt for the time being. We've had some gre...

An Interesting Night...

Not the busiest night, but...Tonight we cut a whole scene from the show, and re-sequenced the remaining scenes leading up to the finale. Chris discussed it with me at lunch, I agreed it might be a goo...

Splitting Opinions

Looking at the reviews we've had for Peacock Throne so far is quite interesting. We have a pretty even split - some papers/reviewers love us, some hate us. And looking at why they love us or hate us c...

...And The First Review Are In...

Nothing in it so far, two good write ups and two bad ones. I really hope this is a play that people either like or don't like, love or hate. I couldn't bear to hear that it's alright, ok, not bad, no ...

The Lawless Suburb of Southwark

Actually it's not all that bad.Last night was our Press night - we opened on Thursday - and very good it was too. I've been rather concerned about how it was going to go down, but so far the audiences...

Final Preparations

A lazy-ish Sunday, just a bit of packing to do before the off.Kroftwerk had a pretty mighty gig last night, and the practicing definitely paid off. I tend to get very lazy on guitar, but last night th...

Just a few days before rehearsals start now... I'll be away on Monday, rehearsing in Nairn for a couple of weeks, then on to London for the run. Our new cast member in the roles of General Zahedi and ...

Men At Werk

Into the studio with Kroftwerk to get a few covers down. These are mainly for our own amusement, although I believe one is destined to go on a "local cover bands" compilation CD. I hope everyone's got...
