"Americans think the danger is terrorism. They don't understand that Terrorists cannot take away habeus corpus, the Bill of Rights, the Constitution. Terrorists cannot suspend the Constitutional Government, abolish the Separation of Powers. TERRORISM CANNOT PICK US UP, SHUT US UP, OR ARREST US. The threat of terrorism is nothing like the THREAT of OUR OWN GOVERNMENT in the name of fighting terrorism."
- Paul Craig Roberts, the Father of Reaganomics

I'd like to meet:
I'd love to meet:
-Joey Cape, Singer/Song Writer for the 90s punk band Lagwagon. It's always been and will be a dream for me.
-Claudio Sanchez, Singer/Song Writer for Coheed and Cambria. This band is my new obsession and has been for a good couple of years. I'd turn into a 13 year old bumbling girl trying to make conversation with this guy lol.
-Brian Gianelli, Singer/Song Writer for Bueno and All Autonomy. His genius absolutely amazes me I was very disheartened in Dec. 2004 when I heard he had drown in a canuing accident. What a waste of such a truly beautiful mind. My peeve with this band is that they never recorded anything more than a 4-5 song demo at any one time and their records were/are EXTREMELY hard to come by. I don't think any of them are even in print anymore so good luck finding their music on ebay /cry.
-A single person that can prove there is a God.
-Will Ferrell, the guy is one of the funiest minds on the planet today. It'd be an amazing honor.
-Phil Hartman, the funniest guy ever to walk the earth. I will forever mourn his death. This was a superb tragedy :(
-Cameron Crowe, writer/director of my favorite movie of all time. Almost Famous. He wrote it as a makeshift diary of his own experiences from adolescence. Out on tour with big bands doing stories on them before he was old enough to even buy a pack of smokes. I fucking love the feeling I get watching this film. I will forever be in debt to this man.
-Scrooge McDuck, silly enough yes but ever since I was a wee child watching cartoons I have been fascinated with how he rose to such insurmountable fortune. I also felt really bad for him when his nephews were put under a spell and held him upside-down and shook a bunch of money out of his robes. Plus he's the only entity I know of that can swim in a fucking pool of gold coins. That is incredible.
-Gerard Way, the dude has some sick vocals. They are one-of-a-kind. Listening to MCR puts me into an envious trance.
Music:
-Coheed and Cambria first and foremost. I hated these guys for the first year I was exposed to them. Then one day I heard "A Favor House Atlantic" out of the blue and lightning struck. I was severely addicted from that point on about 3 years ago. It has happened that way for almost everyone I know. They've fallen prey to the best rock group of our age.
-My Chemical Romance is currently a close second to C&C in my book and gaining fast. I liked Three Cheers when Kap originally brought it over a couple of years ago but I never really appreciated it with the fierceness I do now. I swim in the bands' endless melodies, lyrics and just phenominal vocals. Coheed you better watch out because MCR's new album might put me over the edge!
EDIT: The new MCR is great but in no way was CoCa ever in danger of falling out of my onespot :D
-Lagwagon will always be one of my favorite bands. Joey's lyrics and captivating melodies hit home with me when I was in adolescence and they'll stick with me through even my senior citizen era. Picture that lol an old man listening to punk music. My grandkids are going to be very confused me thinks.
-Classic rock is art, plain and simple. The genre offers a variety of different moods and ambience. I love everything that has to do with it.
-80's Hair Bands and Ass Rock. Oh my god where do I begin. Something about raging, squealing guitars, hard-hitting riffs and choruses and vocals that will tear your throat out always gives peace of mind. Somehow in the 80's if you wanted to be a famous rockstar, you HAD TO BE FLAWLESS on the axe. It was borderline rediculous the talent that spewed forth from that genre. I am emblazoned with awe and gratitude indefinately for this music.
-Basically any top-40s song dating from the 60s to today's hits. (With a few exceptions of course like that travesty of a shitcan song by the Black Eyed Peas "My Humps" and "Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stephani) With Mass Media producing and distributing these singles, the majorty of the earth gets to experience them, which in turn is a great way to relate to people you are meeting for the first time. It's a scrumtrilescent way to break the ice and have a great time at a party.

Television:
#1 Six Feet Under - What a real depiction of human reality! It's tv that paints a true picture of how people really are. It's great to have a fully entertaining and heart-wrenching production that isn't tainted with hollywood glam or pseudo-drama. I cried several times during the amazing 5 seasons of this series and laughed just as often. The last episode of this show is the best conclusion ever to hit the industry. It blew me away.
#2 News Radio - this show is rediculously hilarious. It has me rolling on the floor from the introduction of the first scene, to the rolling of the credits. If it weren't for that bitch of a wife Phil Hartman had, this series would have become a phenomenon somewhere close to the par of "Friends". You can buy all of the first four seasons on DVD currently. I suggest you do it.
#3. Friends. It's cheesy to say it but to not wouldn't make it any less true that I am in love with this show. There's a reason it stayed number 1 in the charts for so long. Great characters, great writing and a budget which enabled them to do whatever the hell they wanted lol
#4 Dexter - A new showtime orginal series about a serial killer that only kills other serial killers. I can't wait for the second season. It's as refreshing as a firehose aenima!
#5. Gilmore Girls. I'd say this is a guilty pleasure but you know what? It's not. This show is genius really. The writing is fast-paced and ultra witty. It's refreshing to see such a gem among the gloom of today's television dribble.
