The Flying Gypsies

About Me

Formed in 2005, this Belfast based band have their roots set in the blues delivered with a powerful hard rock style, and after playing their first local show, they have been renowned for one of the most energetic rock acts on the scene.

Fronted by gypsy crooner Ryan McCormick; Rory McKee, Chris Bateman and Craig Meek make up the ranks that are The Flying Gypsies.
Willie - Down FM
"Every member of this band is a polished virtuoso performer and they show it in every song. In other bands this could be a tad cloying after a while, but it is part of the charm and energy that makes The Flying Gypsies a very entertaining rock band. This is all the more remarkable when you consider that they have only been together for a year. Ryan McCormick is not only a very talented frontman, he is also a first rate showman. Bigger bands should keep a weather eye on their rear view mirror!"
The Night Kitchen Playlist
"Rock n Roll is in safe hands with young bands like The Flying Gypsies and if they ever gave up, they could probably sell oil to OPEC."
Kerrang Magazine. Rep
"Is that bass player the love-child of Angus Young and Flea?"
Crookers & Hooks EP (2006)
