Eskimo Sandwich are an explosion of superlative sound, featuring moving and memorable vocal melodies, intricate guitar and bass arrangements, dynamic drumming, and a touch of complementary keyboards.
Inspired by the likes of Muse, Radiohead and The Music, the four-piece from Northallerton, North Yorkshire, are developing fast in the music maze. After recently playing North Yorkshire’s Festival 07 featuring Lil’ Chris and The Holloways, winning the Hambleton District Battle of the Bands and playing live on BBC Radio, Eskimo Sandwich have recorded their first 3-track EP - My Sunlight.
Effects pedals, Afros and Front-man Theatrics are the order of the day at an Eskimo Sandwich gig, with the Eskimo experience gaining an enthusiastic fan base, reaching ever further from home. A highlight of 2008 came in the form of the CultureShock Festival, where Eskimo Sandwich played the main stage alongside Boy Kill Boy and Utah Saints.
Together with support from family, fans and 6K VISION, Eskimo
Sandwich continue to travel from strength to strength, gathering support and exploring new musical possibilities, having fun and keeping the faith.
" These pint sized guys are one of the hardest working young bands I know. If they continue like this they are destined for good things. Some solid Northern Rock with big hair and a bouncing frontman."
Matt Burrows - 6K Vision
" Eskimo Sandwich create a unique blend of sounds and genres not regularly mixed, like Joy Division crossed with Muse and the Mission with a bit of Iron Maiden thrown in there for good measure. Though only young, the music sounds grand and mature but with inventiveness in the melodies and hooks that keeps the sound young and exciting. Definitely worth a bit of investigation."
