She displayed a passion for music at an early age.Throughout her teenage years she was in six singing groups,LTKC,Fresh,Harmony,Younique,Premiere,and Turning Point. Being in those groups made her realize how much she loved harmony and songwriting and,vocal arrangement.Little did she know her love affair with music was just beginning!!!
In her most recent years LaToya was blessed to be a part of an up and coming music production company called "GIGAWORLDWIDE"productions. She worked side by side with one of the most innovative musical producers of our time,"Joker".They became a dynamic music/writing duo and used their distinctive futuristic style as an outlet to display other artists talents as well as their own.LaToya learned a lot about herself in this union and the artist she wanted to be.With drive,determination,and focus she was headed straight to the top!!!
This year has proved to be a breakout year for Miss LaToya!!! In addition to being a showstopper at "La Louisanne's" in California at the beginning of the year,she has been a contestant in The first ever "Singing Competetion"at "The Glen Theatre","The Region Idol Singing Competetion"(Placing as the 1st runner-up to the Idol out of hundreds),she's won "Apollo Night" at "The Lake Street Theatre" and has placed in countless singing contests in the Indiana Region.She's also done some charity work,performing for "The Cancer Foundation's Relay Idol",(With an up and coming Breast Cancer Awareness Rally in the works),and she was one of the visionaries in charge of the"A Night on the town musical showcase"with proceeds going to "The Multiple Sclerosis Foundation"
Currently, you can find LaToya singing with "The House band" at Gary's own "The Palace".She is in progress of working on her demo with producers from all over,she is opening shows,throwing shows and doing whatever she can to fufill the love for music that she has.Look out for her next venture.......A christmas show at "The Hall of Justice" in Crown Point for all ages.This superstar is not stopping any time soon!!! Whether you see her in front ,or behind(background singing) YOUR GONNA SEE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
