FUNK..allow me to introduce myself,I AM FUNK!!!!...THE KING OF THE KINGDOM OF ALL THAT IS FUNKY!!!!!that's me on the bass:her name is dionne, "dionne warwick the psychic bass network", that big huge mean looking sweetheart best and closest dogfriend is margie, my 145 perro de presa canario, also my platonic life partner...i am michael, some folks call me gator, I AM FUNK!!!! bassist and main vocals in "GREEN CHI", and formerly bassin' for "the williams brothers band" and for "treetown underground",all are on myspace- music is my calling,my life,my love,my passion,my obsession... i have been playing bass now for over 20 years(as of christmas 2007,the gift that cultivated another),i grew up in a musical family,my Mom played guitar before i was born,(i've actually been playing the same acoustic,64' gibson flat-top my entire life, my Dad can sing his ass off old school country style, my Papa(grandfather),MARVIN MORGAN SR.could blow the reeds out of a harp,an appalachian arkansas/tennesee mountain man,one of my uncles, MARVIN MORGAN JR. had a successful country/southern rock band called "SOUTHERN PRIDE",now he plays for JESUS son of JAH, if i wasn't at a sunday JAM session listening to about ten different bands, i was at a bluegrass festival all weekend listening to countless arrangements,my other uncle CARL WORTHINGTON, all of my cousins play, especially the TENNESEE MORGAN CLAN, sick real deal good ole timey tones, my first time ever seeing the bass and what it does was as a baby,it was an upright bass and it was even more enormous and larger than life than they appear to grown folks..i remember running to it just to get my hands on that thing,and i have always loved that sound,who doesn't? the particular instrument was played by BILL COODY. when i was a young boy in the 80's i remember hearing the basslines in all the music my parents would play through the walls, it shaped me. then i was really inspired by the bass solo in the song "you can call me al" played by bassist BAKITHI KUMALO and that was it.....since then i'm surrounded,submurged,immersed,covered,over and under,side to side for my entire life with the grace of the blessings and teachings and curses of music and i have only began to evolve as a master... the jam is the pure expression of communication between musicians and with the listener, the dancer, the world and all other realms...i first witnessed this magic while watching the amazing LES CLAYPOOL and the very missed PHISH, the telepathy between them, eachother and the audience was amazing, i was rewired and changed forever after the very first time i saw MIKE GORDON play in his clever style, so much groove..i was also permanently FUNKY after hearing STANLEY CLARKE on the album "school daze" at the tender age of 18...the first time i ever heard him i was tripping on L.S.D. there should have been a warning label on that tape, yes i said tape, i'm an old fool from the old school.... i love nothing more than to be part of the creation of that pure moment, bouncing huge low frequency vibrations and waves back and forth through infinity together,ENERGY GROWING WITH ENERGY! exponentially expanding and reforming,playing,dancing,singing,PRAISING THE MOST HIGH...i believe that LOVE IS THE STRONGEST FORCE IN THE UNIVERSE, able to supercede all things...JAH IS LOVE IS LIGHT IS WAVES OF POSITIVE RIGHTEOUS VIBRATIONS!!!! we are all vibrating and generating waves and sometimes we can harmonize together on the same frequency wavelength, not just sonicly but whollisticly...everything vibrates,"everything is a wave, pulsating away"...waves are "the force"...there's a light that shines, it's bright sometimes, inside of you and i, and like the shining sun, we can become one, shining on, for all the world to see.... we are GREEN CHI..... we are lightbeams, we are LOVE, WE ARE everything....Life is wonderful, life goes full circle, life is meaningful,beautiful...i have found inspiration within music herself and she is a limitless source....in fact i have found inspiration for the rest of my days....never before have i felt such surity....i wish you all the same....this is bliss....and it is real.....art inpires itself and music herself is the love that i have always searched for that has been w/ me all these years,and the one true love whom i will remain faithfully betrothed to,(she's way more noble than any of you human ladies have ever been to me).....okay,enough talk,gonna go jam now!!!!!!!!!JAHISLOVEISLIGHTISMUSICISBLISS....IRIE I&I......PRAISE THE MOST HIGH......with FUNK.....
