About Me

i don't know if people just set out one evening to update their myspace profile, but as i sit here 'babysitting' my niece while she watches 'cinderella 2', i find myself doing just that. i just transferred to nyu to study musical theatre (cap21) from uc berkeley where i was a double major in sociology and theatre and performance studies. my life, as one might imagine, has changed drastically in the past couple of months, but the experiences i've had thus far have proven to me that it was the best decision i've ever made. i cherish my family and friends above all, and (i don't mean this in a cheesy or arrogant way) creating art directly after. i'd love to be a performer or director, but teaching and social work are things i love too. i want to create theatre for social change. i'm really moved by the end of imperialism, the remnants of apartheid, class and gender studies (especially in india), things like that. but i also love a damn good production of oklahoma. i guess i'm strange that way.this is the ever-so-talented jessica goldman singing the title song from the production of 'cabaret' i just directed. watch it til the end, she's fierce.

my happy day

holy crap...ok, so today was my birthday...but on top of that, i got into NYU, and they gave me some awesome money in scholarships and such. holy mother, i'm super excited...i hope i go!
