My other headline is a Mercedes.

About Me

I majored in Film/TV Production and work in that field. I used to desire fronting a band and going into space, but probably not at the same time ("Where the heck is my mic going?!"). Now my goal is to write books and a few short films. I still kinda wish just a lil bit that I was a rock star. :) Despite all this work talk, the personal day-to-day events and moments in life are ultimately more important to me, because life is too short. Oh yeah, and I really don't have a Mercedes (it's just a cute -- I hope -- headline). Or any other sort of fancy, expensive car for that matter -- I'm just a struggling artiste, or something like that. But if I were to have any kind of car, I'd choose one from the '40s. Just like I'd choose a man from the 1940s. Not literally from then, because now he'd be way, way older than I'd prefer. But just a real gentleman, old-fashioned in the ways of courting, manners, class, etc, etc, etc.

My Interests

Writing, Sanrio, Dave and Busters arcade, stop-motion animation, Wallace and Gromit, dancing, reading, art, crosswords and logic puzzles, contests, live music and theater, movies, Get Fuzzy comics (You go Bucky and Satchel!)...

I'd like to meet:

There's this cool band Triple Play I'm wondering whatever happened to. I saw these three young men in a show at Reno Harrahs in 2004. I think they go by TNT, Chris and Robbie. I tried to look them up online, but all I find are other bands with the same name. Well, if you know of the right Triple Play and what they're up to now, pass along the good word. "Will Michelle ever update this?!"

Music:

The Rembrandts, The Beatles, Paul McCartney, Depeche Mode, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, Marty Casey, Ville Valo, Coldplay, Garbage, Fastball, Stray Cats and more, oh so much more!! My tastes range from big band, doo wop, old blue grass mountain music (not today's country) and the oldies but goodies to punk, dance, Euro electronica trance -- whatever it's called, goth and alternative. I may not know every musician or album's name, but I know what suits my mood at the time. Yes, it appears I'm moody. lol.

Movies:

Gone with the Wind, Doctor Zhivago, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Big Fish, 20 Centimetres, Water, M. Night Shyamalan movies, comedies, classics, indies (love film fests), silents, a lot.

Television:

Twilight Zone (oooh), Outer Limits (double oooh), Medium (aaaah), My Name Is Earl, The Office, classic TV and game shows. Richard Coyle from Coupling is funny. What the heck, I like commercials, too -- hey, don't boo me!

Books:

Let's not see a repeat of the Fahrenheit 451 scenario. Not that wall-length television screens are bad, but books are awesome.

Just learn to swallow

So, I was outside of a Panda Express tonight, enjoying the fresh air and chow mein when the smell of cigarettes hits me straight on. Some guys who were eating nearby had just lit up. Even though it t...

If ever I needed a reason to get cable, this is it!

Starting June 16th on Animal Planet, a reality show like no other. Ten cats (yes, really!) will live together in a house with viewers watching their every move (or nap). Just as with their human real...

Step right up . . . it's showtime!

I went to the circus last night. But wait, I'm not going to end just there and leave you all (can I use the word "all" when nobody is reading this?) hanging. Circus Vargas, an all human performers pro...
