Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. Schooled at St. Mary's (a Catholic school, and I'm not even Catholic - got smacked around by crazy nuns with their vicious rulers as a 6 year old...I mean really? Not sure what Catholics believe about heaven, but if it's remotely like this school, shoot, send me to hell), Tachikawa AFB (DoDD school), Yokota AFB (another DoDD school, but far more jacked-up with morons posing as teachers) and ASIJ (an American school). Music was always part of my life, with hard rock filling my early years, but as I past puberty I started to get this thirst for something more. Then my older bros came home from college for summer break with tapes of that sound I was looking for - punk and hardcore. That raw, un-forgiving sound devoid of filler has been with me since. Don't get me wrong, I listen to a whole spectrum of stuff, but that raw approach bands take still puts a smile on my face. My middle and high school years were spent doing more bad than good...I guess I was bored. I wasn't a good influence on my little bro. I think I'm all paid-up with my karma-payment plan with god, but does being an agnostic kind of defeat the purpose? Aw, shucks...I figure it can't hurt to do the right thing going forward. After high-school, I moved to the US to attend the Univ of Arizona to find my own path and endless sunny days - nothing like going to school where you see more skin than clothes! Bought my first guitar about that time and taught myself how to suck at it, and after all these years, I only kind of suck at it now. Being a slacker throughout most of my life finally caught up with me as I managed to only find employment at prestigeous KMart - doh! After a year of chasing shoplifters all day (yes, can you say "irony"?) across parking lots in the lovely shit-hole of a town called Barstow, CA, I decided to find better employment at Bass shoe and clothing (yeah, I was really moving up in the world). That job at least got me out of CA to Sedona, AZ where I got the pleasure of living amongst new-age hippies and alien abductees. A little bit of good fortune gave me the opportunity to run to Atlanta. After a few dead-end jobs, I finally managed to find decent work in the IT field, but got sick of working non-stop, so I found myself all the way back in Japan again teaching English...but this time as a better man to give back to the culture I so abused growing up.
