I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm so tired...

My Interests

Movies, music, books, dance, psychology, yoga, interior design, people watching, law, hopeless causes, writing, ranting, analyzation of stupidity, teaching rationality to irrationals (a waste of time, I know), wasting time, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia

I'd like to meet:

I'm good for now, thanks.

Music:

If it inspires me to choreograph a dance, I'll listen to it--unless it's by the Beatles. I hate the Beatles. Monkees eat the Beatles!

Movies:

Too many to list exhaustively. "The Departed" is my current favorite but I believe "Godfather" to be the greatest cinematic masterpiece of all time.

Television:

I don't watch TV but I do watch Prison Break, 24, Lost, Friends, Seinfeld, and Wings on DVD. I watched Smallville 'till it started sucking.

Books:

A Tree Grows in Brooklyn--Betty Smith, 'Till We Have Faces--C.S. Lewis, The Scarlet Letter--Nathaniel Hawthorne, Shadows of the Empire--Steve Perry, The Queen of Spades and Other Stories--Alexander Pushkin, Rosemary's Baby--Ira Levin, 1984--George Orwell, To Kill a Mockingbird--Harper Lee, Homecoming--Cynthia Voight, Joy in the Morning--Betty Smith, This Present Darkness--Frank Peretti, The Visitation--Frank Peretti, The Castle of Llyr--Lloyd Alexander, "V" for Vendetta--Alan Moore, David Lloyd

Heroes:

Batman, Superman, all of the X-Men (except for Storm)

A rant from a socially inept member of society

Last weekend my sister told me of some rather disheartening conversations she'd had with a "friend" of hers. I use the words "conversations" and "friend" lightly because they were not so much con...

"lol" = "lots of love"

I find it irritating when people use Instant message/Text message shorthand in their writings. "Cos", "btw", "wtf", "ur", "u", "lol" and so forth are not words used in human conversation. However..."b...

I use the word "dumbass" alot

It's funny to watch people make asses out of themselves and then immediately turn around and attempt damage control. The faster they attempt it, the funnier it is. It's as though they k...
