I'm a resident DJ for two crews in London: DirtyGroove is a bunch of dirty house head mates of mine and I (I provide the breaks angle), we have a residency at Inigo in Clapham, which is the best unkept secret for killer parties south of the river. (1st half of 2006 guests: Adam Freeland, King Roc, The Rogue Element, Soul of Man, X Press 2 - all packed into a max 200 capacity venue..!) We've just moved from 1st Thursday of the Month to bimonthly FIRST FRIDAY at Inigo. Because weeknights suck.
Then there's My Tune Is Too Big at Inigo. Proper mid-week breaks silliness. Every 3rd Wednesday, with other hosts Alleged (Leigh White) & crazy prolific breaks bitchach Sirius (Suroor Goodenough). Previous guests include JDS, Kid Blue, Plaza de Funk, NineLives - if they're a breaks DJ and they have a made-up name, you'll catch them there. £1 shots before 9pm OH YEAH. Because weeknights rock.
If you're stuck for something to surf on check out my old night Get Busy , which is now indefinitely on hold. We're casually looking for a venue (most of my time is taken up with DG these days though.) So if you know anywhere looking for some proper party breaks + house on a regular basis then ping us a message.
DJs : message me for gig swaps
PRODUCERS / BANDS : message me if you want something remixed or are looking for some fresh tracks!
(Hmm yeah picture a dude on the street with no shoes and a cardboard sign "Will remix for food")
Nice one.
