Question no. 2: What is the Mila Drumke BAND?
Answer:
The Mila Drumke Band is Mila Drumke, Lyris Hung and Elissa Linowes.
They have recorded four albums: Gathering My Name (1994), which features "Someone," the theme for the Samuel Goldwyn film Go Fish ("Someone" also appeared on the first Independent Film Channel release, In Your Ear, along with songs by Tom Waits and the Pogues among others); Illinois (1997), which features guest performances by Karen and Don Peris of the innocence mission ; Hip to Hip: A Collection of Standards (2000); and, most recently, Radiate (2006), which also features guest performances from Karen and Don Peris and from Erik Della Penna of Kill Henry Sugar .
The band is from New York, where they have performed at venues including the Bowery Ballroom, Joe's Pub, the Mercury Lounge, Fez, The Living Room, The Bottom Line, Sin-e and Arlene Grocery. They have also performed at clubs and colleges around the U.S. and in Great Britain.
