Always having fun

About Me

Well, my new adventure is beginning. I've accepted a position with Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. I'm part of their Perioperative Consortium program. Ultimately it means that for the next 6 months, I'll be training as an Operating Room nurse. After the training, I'll be assigned to a specific operating room team. Luckily, I'm always up for a challenge. So after a 7 year hiatus in Anchorage, AK I'm back to the Emerald city.

My Interests

Hiking, biking, camping, fishing, skiing, snow-shoeing, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

I'd like to meet:

...people with a sense of humor...who can carry a conversation...who appreciate icecream, especially after a 20 mile bike ride...who understand the difference between text messaging, phone calls, and when each is appropriate...those who are sincere and genuine...and those who have the ability to watch a movie 3 times in a row, because it's just that good.

Music:

...all types, with the exception of classical. Most often my radio is either set to country or alternative/rock (especially DMB).

Movies:

Some of my favorites are... Pirates of the Caribbean, National Treasure, The Italian Job, Ever After, Gone in 60 Seconds, The Mirror Has Two Faces, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Van Wilder, Wedding Crashers, Must Love Dogs, and The Harry Potter movies

Television:

CSI: Crime, NCIS, Numbers are some of my favorite shows. I've become addicted to Heros, and Brothers & Sisters. Thank goodness for TIVO.

Books:

Angels & Demons, The DaVinci Code, Digital Fortress, Angela's Ashes, My Antonia, Jewels of the Sun, Tears of the Moon, Heart of the Sea & the Harry Potter collection. I can't wait for the final book. Tess Gerritsen has become a new favorite author. Her books are murder/mystery with a medical view point. I highly recommend them.

Heroes:

My Parents, Maya Angelou, FDR, MLK, and my brother, to name a few. Those who volunteer their time and talent helping others are amazing individuals.
