About Me


Creation and Growth Fire Star Disco was started by former Q.R.C students and lifelong friends Karega, Simba and Dean. Mathew, Jarrod and Devon later joined the cast. Fire Star is currently one of the most sought after sound systems. In a recent pole, they were listed amongst their most trusted allies, Xixgon Sounds, Jugglers Sound System and XCaliber Sounds. Amongst 'young' sounds in the Caribbean, Fire Star Disco has been said to be the most creative sounds, and their 'dub box' has enough weight to compete with bigger sounds. They have a contingent with the likes of popular Jamaican Artist Bounty Killer, Capleton, Anthony B, Sizzla, George Nooks, Junior Cat, Ninja Man, Glen Washington, Errol Dunkley, Hopeton James, Leroy Smart, Singer J, Bonnie General and Pinchers. Local Soca Artist Mr. Slaughter, Machel Montano, Maximus Dan and the ever rising local reggae artist Mr. King, Jah Bami, Khari Kill, King David, Million Voice, Isasha and Levi Myers just to name a few.
History and Affiliates
Fire Star Disco unofficially launched their Star Boy clothing line in the summer of 2004. There was an immediate response; all T-shirts and baby-T were almost instantly sold out. There are still requests for more. Because of this favorable response another business venture was launched -- Berlyne Clothing Project.
Fire Star's cast is also well diverse, and because of karega and simba's thirst for business and event management, Hybrid 6.0 was launched in the winter of 2004. Hybrid 6.0 is an event management company focused mainly on youth events. They have been involved in various Q.R.C events and individual university activities.
To Date
Currently all of the members of Fire Star Disco are pursuing educational careers within America, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago. Simba and Devon in New York, Karega in Washington, Matthew in Miami, Jarrod in Canada and Dean in Trinidad and Tobago. The sound continues to overcome this challenge and occasionally meet up for clashes or parties wherever they are being held and recently had a stint in the ever popular Club Nemos this summer 2006.
