I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm Baz, 32, San Diego...been living in North Park for the past 10 years and always finding something new to do. I pretty much keep to myself but have found a few good friends in the past year or so and so I've started to get out a bit more. And what can I say, it sure beats sitting around doing nothing. :) Okay, that was an understatement, but hey, understatement is my style! hahaha....

My Interests

Photography, listening to music, working on computers, racing my car (sometimes), electricity, taking naps, enjoying the outdoors and being goofy sometimes. As a matter of goofiness recently I've taken a slight interest in Karaoke as well as Background Acting...however, the latter is slightly harder to accomplish as I do have a day job. :( But I look forward to the occasional variety!

Astrology is interesting but I'm not totally sure whether to believe horoscopes yet! I have also created a timeline Web site chronicling the construction of La Boheme: The North Park Condominiums . I finally finished it recently. Check it out sometime if you're into that sort of thing. Neighborhood Photography

I'd like to meet:

Someone who can benefit from what I have learned in life, and possibly teach me a few things as well. Someone who encourages me and who I can bring a smile to their face when they are feeling down. Most importantly, someone who has learned not to take life too seriously, but does not lose track of goals either.

Music:

Music fit for the club, the car, the garage, whatever. Hip-hop, R&B, Rock, 80's rock/metal, old school rap/funk, ambient, new age, electronica/techno, industrial, jazz, and bits and pieces of country as I see (or hear) fit...a lot of times I will hate a piece of music first but then it will grow on me!Maroon 5, Matisyahu, Bloc Party, Silversun Pickups, Nickelback, Colbie Caillat, Reflection Theory, Sneaker Pimps, The Shins, Chris Brickler, Gavin Rossdale ("DRIVE" theme song), The Birthday Massacre (thanks Lisa :P), Depeche Mode, Evanescence, Stone Sour, Dead Can Dance, Death Cab For Cutie, Massive Attack, Dave Matthews Band, Divided By Zero, Def Leppard, , Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects, Fergie/Black Eyed Peas, Queensryche, The Clash, Steely Dan, Supertramp, Van Halen, Linkin Park, System Of a Down, Darude, Scooter, Smashing Pumpkins, Enigma, Wild Cherry, Average White Band, The Commodores, Beastie Boys, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Black Rob, Lil Rob, D.J. Quik, Twista, Keyshia Cole, Alicia Keys, Cassie, Paul Wall, Ice Cube, Ying Yang Twins, Pussycat Dolls, Bachelor Girl, and a few 80's/ 90's pop and freestyle songs. A few that come to mind -- Will To Power, Debbie Deb, and Safire. Also, recently some underground hip-hop artists -- 2Mex, Brother Ali, Psalm One, Ghost Girl, and Formula Abstract. My brain is a little slow though, so I pick up beats long before I get the full meaning of the words in the songs.

Movies:

Action, drama, comedy. Meet the Parents, The Fast and the Furious, The Breakfast Club, The Big Lebowski, Clerks, The Legend of Zorro, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Back to School, Nacho Libre, Anchorman, The Toy, Superman, Star Wars (the first one), Terminator 2, The Running Man, Red Dawn, Mystic River, The Ice Storm, Fun With Dick and Jane, also most Jim Carrey and Will Ferrell movies. Fletch, National Lampoon's Vacation (Wally World!) and some other Chevy Chase movies.

Television:

Action/Drama/Sci-Fi: Chuck, Heroes, The Bionic Woman, SNL, Smallville, Pushing Daisies, Family Guy, The Simpsons, House, Boston Legal ... I like shows where I can either laugh or where the characters do things I wish I could do or haven't had the courage to try myself. :)Miscellaneous shows:
Pimp My Ride, Beavis and Butthead, MTV Hits, VH1 Classic,I also like shows where I am inclined to learn something such as Flip That House!, MythBusters, Dirty Jobs, and also various automotive shows.
I'm part of the DVR Generation as well for the past 2 years...but no I don't record everything, only a few shows a week. Good time management!!!

Books:

Nothing currently, except maybe instruction manuals and studying for school tests. I should probably pick up a good piece of fiction soon, though.

Heroes:

My brother Luke, my Dad, my Mom.
