About Me

Long time DJ, up and comming artist/producer/Engineer in the ATL. Got my start on the tables back in 77ish. Then sometime later, drum machines and keyboards blew up and things just got crazy from there. Hip-Hop started moving and if the critics were right, Hip-Hop would have died sometime in th early 90's. Oh well, so much for the critics predicting the future of HipHop. So as I continued to move forward and broaded my third ear, dancehall consumed me. And in 89' bumped into this Jamdowner named Jason Sky-Walker. He told me I knows more about dancehall/rockers than most folk from "Yard". I found that He was a selector and soundman of a sound called Changez Disco back in Jamaica. I was like "BET, I got skills on the tables you got the link to the product, let do this!" Enter Changez International of Atlanta. Moved actively with the sound till 'bout the mid 90's.Sorta broke camp, persued a career in IT. IT provided funds. And with funds what do cats that like making music do? Buy ish that they can make music with. So about ten years later, armed with Bass, Tables, and samplers in hand, along with a crazy intelligence of Jazz, Blues, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Latin, Classical, RnB, Techno, and some other wierd stuff...I am putting stuff together that almost anybody can and will enjoy. By right, I'm a TurnTable Instrumentalist but I am also an aspiring bassist. Myself as an artist focuses on abstrak hip-hop and reggae with bass playing and turntable wizardry. As with music, Old, New, and Genre does not "register" with me. It just has to be good. This explains the semi-schizoid mixes I produce. Peep the OnEdge and tell me what you think!!! Peace, -YDT
