Raised in the Bronx, Dre Platinum an entrepreneur was exposed to the music business at an early age. His father was a deejay as well as a producer and he had an uncle who owned a record store. It was there he met many in the music industry. These experiences helped fuel his passion for music. Dre Platinum attended Harry S. Truman H.S. and then Westchester Community College where he graduated with an A.A.S. in Business Administration. He then continued on to Mercy College where he obtained his Bachelors Degree in Business Management. His aspirations were always to have his own business especially, one related to music. While working and pursuing his goals Dre Platinum interned at A.S.C.A.P. He also interned in the Marketing & PR departments of The Commission Ent. (Mr. Cheeks) and The Context Mind (now called The American Hype)(Heatmakerz/Blahzay Blah). He also promoted a events in NY & FL. In 2000-02 he served as the V.P. at 26/26 Muzik, where he released a few singles one of which featured Grammy nominee Luciano. Wanting more and already working on various hip hop, reggae, and r n b projects Dre Platinum moved on. He formed The M.I.L. Music Group and signed producer Meddz (Juelz Santana) to his company.Ignited in 2004 by CEO/Founder Dre Platinum The M.I.L. Music Group was founded with one thing in mind. Music is life. The M.I.L. is more than a record label and has three divisions to its entity. It is a cutting edge music group committed to excellence while being a leading provider of music production, artist management as well as being the hottest record company in the industry.
