A little about me...Well, I am on a self imposed journey to finding "me" again. Anyone who knows me well can tell you that my weight has always ruled my world. I ate when I was sad, scared, lonely, stressed, happy--heck I just ate constantly. I always viewed food as the enemy. Back in high school I starved my way from 194 down to 119. I did every wrong thing you can imagine to maintain that weight. Finally I stopped abusing my body for a few years. I would say I sat at around 160 for 4-5 years, which was ok. The pounds started creeping back on and when my ex and I broke up, I lost alot of weight again. I met and married my now husband and had our younger son (1996) and the weight problems just kind of progressed again from there. I hit my alltime highest weight in 2002 and managed to lose a little but not nearly enough. Last year I got a huge wake-up call when I saw a couple of pictures of me. I wondered who the hell that HUGE chick was and why was she wearing my face? I had went without having my pic taken for a long time, but I couldn't deny the proof in the pics that were snapped of me when I wasn't looking. How the heck did I fool myself when I passed a mirror into thinking I looked ok? Mirrors lie, or rather WE lie to ourselves. Anyway, I took action when I walked into a Weight Watchers meeting on Oct 24, 2006 and I haven't looked back since. I have learned so many things since starting this program, things that will be part of my life indefinitely. For anyone considering weight loss and learning a healthy way to view food, I strongly recommend WW. If you are looking for a quick fix and fast results, then you might want to go someplace else. Like I said, I am on a journey and I dont know how long it will take, nor do I care. It's just important that Im on the right path. I have a before and during pic up in my photos on here...so take a look. Right now my weight loss total is 84.8 lbs.

That out of the way, I am happily married going on 12 yrs and have 2 wonderful sons. We also have 2 dachshunds, 1 mutt, 2 cats, and a moody parakeet. :)
