Mike Badger is eighteen years old, and a freshman at Azusa-Pacific University in Azusa, CA. For as long as he can remember he has been bombarded with the knowledge and truth of God through His Word (the bible). This, along with Christ’s merciful gift of the Holy Spirit, has led Mike to where he is a today: A young man not only maturing physically and mentally, but also in the word of God and The Faith. He has a passion for studying and teaching the Bible which has been manifested in on and off campus bible studies throughout high school that he formed.
Mike initially began doing Christian music because of a seemingly perfect blend of his two main interests, God and music. Add these to the gifts of writing and teaching and the result is ministering the Word of God through Christian hip hop. Over time, these interests grew into passions and the quality of the music, both sonically and lyrically, improved. As Mike’s growth continued, his reason for doing Christian hip hop and his focus for the music was solely to glorify God through the power of Christ.
Over the past two years Mike, who goes by Vessel, has been working with and under L.I.F.E.style Ministries/Records. He was featured on “Transparent Presents…HEIRS: The Takeback Vol. 1†and recently put out his own mixtape entitled “TALK^†(Truth About the Living KING). He was also featured on labelmate, Transparent’s, award winning album “LIFEâ€.
