About Me

Without freedom what is there? That is mans common ground.Don't feat, but know what time it is:prozack turner is bad motherfuckerJameson AKA KonSICKwence came up in the game, punching the clock at an early age. Despite being legally blind, KonSICKwence could clearly see his love for music. In the midst of broken homes, confrentations with bullies, the struggle of welfare and living in 26 different locations, Kon discovered hip hop. He delved into the artform head first, freestyling with his older brother at early ages. KonSICKwence later got serious about the craft and started writing rhymes when he was in the 8th grade. Influenced by MC's Rakim, Common, Nas, Main Flow, and Tupac among others, the pen and pad were never far. KonSICKwence countinued writing and perfecting the craft until returning to his place of birth in Salt Lake City, Utah. Upon his return, things really started to jump off for the young artist. Getting his foot in the door by DJ'ing and producing beats in 1999. Kon became a true hip hop double threat. Over the next few years he put in time, learning the finer points of the art. In 2002, he started out by passing beat CD's onto local MC's, and uploading his music to Soundclick.com. There, he got his first taste of WorldWide exposure. Going by his then alias, Ineffable, Kon saw his first dose of success. His music was greeted with positive reviews, and votes which would later serve to rank him as the number one unsigned artist from mid February -mid March 2003 on the Soundclick.com charts. One year later, a beat that had ranked number 2 on the Soundclick charts was honored as number 3 of 10 in an all-time upload vote held by artists and fans of the music site. KonSICKwence continued to record and perfect the craft over the next two years, putting in several hours a day, and countless all-nighters.The work was starting to pay off. In early 2005, he hooked up with producer Spenzilla to start production for an unreleased album "Lost But Not Forgotten". In April 2005, Konsickwence.com, the official web site of the wordsmith MC made its debut on the World Wide Web. The following month(May) marked the release of his debut mixtape "Nirvanik Noctunz" (a compilation of his productions backed by talented MC's). In June 2006, KonSICKwence recorded a pair of tracks with the explosive Bay Area MC, Marc Stretch, (one half of Foreign Legion). The next month was a landmark for this talented MC. KRCL 90.9 in Salt Lake City granted Kon his first taste of radio airplay. DJ Knucklz (host of the Friday night Fallout Show)played KonSICKwence's and Excentrik's song "Change". KonSICKwence furthered his expression, and hooked up with heavyweight MC Main Flow, and Grammy award winner Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs N' Harmony to record 2 new bangaz "Smoke" and "In the Cold" to add to his growing discography. In April 2006 Jameson (Kon) caught ear of some local talent that impressed him. This local talent was "The Side Project" (Task Rok and Dubby Waters). Kon sat down with them and decided to help produce and put out their 1st and only record "Project Rocket". Through the grace of the most explosive yet underated producer "Domingo" Kon' and The Side Project were able to line up a collaboration with the legendary godfather "Kool G Rap". "Project Rocket" is still awaiting its official release although Kon' and The Side Project have been leaking the album for a couple months. Now - a - days Jameson AKA KonSICKwence AKA "The White Stevie Wonder of Rap" can be found grinding away for all his "Kon"verts, producing more beats than veggie farmers and performing at numerous underground shows, and open mic's. Lookout for this promising talent in the present, and years to come. Written by Ian Bezzant
