A new chapter in my life has begun since my big move to the beautiful islands of Hawaii. Although a big sacrifice to leave my loving family and friends, I am given the opportunity to reach my educational and professional goals in medicine. It is definitely still unreal that I am living here in the skyrise of Waikiki as I stare out to the lush of tropic palm trees spread throughout the landscape as aquatic colors of cobalts and indigo blues stretch into the infinite Pacific ocean beside me. Everyday I get the chance to swim my laps while oddly and theraputically brainstorm about whatever there is to brainstorm about. At night time the whole city lights up bright and lively reminding me of home and San Francisco. From wild orchids and plumerias, great gyms, the most friendly people youll ever meet, crashing waves, surfers, and plate lunches galore, not only am I living in paradise, at this point in time, I am at the best state of mind, body and spirit I have ever been in and it truly only gets better.I'm raised to be who I am because of my religion, Buddhism. Care about others and do good for them. Do what you can in this world to benefit another's well being. Be one with nature and find your peace within. Level with the world's misfortunes and continue on with a healing heart, mind, and soul. What others do to hurt you and or others, will be delievered to them respectfully. The definition of respect according to Pops Kenji: "The respect you give someone else, is the same respect you get back.""You are the company you keep" - You like to be dirty then play with dirt, you like to be clean, then play with soap. Know who your friends are and know those who pretend. Dont let a bullet be the one to help you distinguish your true friends and those who can care less."Karma" - yea i admit, it bit me in the ass before and now i know.
