Tap dancing (all dance actually), writing stories and in journal (my best inanimate friend), reading, animals (have pet mice named Desi and Gatsby, and 4 dogs that aren't technically mine but feel like they are!), quoting movies, being a dork with my friends, biking, listening to music and reading music magazines to find out who's new (and not well known), family gatherings, un-PC movies and TV shows, bloody Marys with steak Caeser salads, the Tour de Colour in the fall (plus the prizes and good food!), being alone when I can, cross-country skiing, skateboarding (even though I suck and obviously am living out my arrested adolescence), holding a ballpoint pen in my hand and clicking it, getting back a recently developed pack of film, walking down the aisles in Cheapo Music, pretending I can cook, poring over the weekly papers at our Friday staff meetings, etc.

I LOVE music. I love the Offspring; their tongue-in-cheek latter-day punk rock is my life. Favorite "now" bands: AFI, Tegan and Sara, Rilo Kiley, Jenny Lewis, Lacuna Coil and Evanescence, Damone, A7X, New Year's Day, Autopilot Off, Transplants, 30 Seconds to Mars, Blaqk Audio, Stones (anyone 65 and still making grown women cry is "now"), The Used, Geneva, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Paramore, Regina Spektor, Strung Out, The Sounds, My Chemical Romance, I Am Ghost, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Weezer, Yellowcard, Garbage, Gorillaz, Bif Naked, Nina Gordon, Mirah, Black Maria, my friend Mary Bue, Gwen Stefani, Avril Lavigne, etc etc. "Old" bands: The Adicts, Adam Ant, Echo and the Bunnymen, Meat Loaf, Pet Shop Boys, VNV Nation, Pink Floyd, the Manics, Bon Jovi, The Cars, The Who, Queen, Social Distortion, '80s pop tarts, Son of Sam, Misfits, Roxette, The Smiths, Steve Miller Band, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, Billy Idol, Beatles, Beastie Boys, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Skid Row, Motley Crue, Poison, Bobby Vee, White Sidewalls (haha), Siouxsie and the BAnshees, Pat Benetar, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, New York Dolls, Lou Reed and Velvet Underground, Bone Appetit and Giljunko (yeah, they're old!), ELO, etc etc. I'm also partial to some showtunes (Phantom and Miss Saigon), and classical. I don't watch television, unless I'm at Grif's and The L Word is on--that would be my favorite currently. TV was better back when Party of Five and Buffy were still on, and Mad TV was still good.
