An amazingly versatile one-man band, this stalwart of the Harrogate music scene of the past 15 years is the kind of musician "Whispering" Bob Harris would have wet his souwesters over back in the days of the Old Grey Whistle on BBC2. Nick's latest album - "Kiss My Stupid Mouth" is awash with surreal rhyming couplets, subtle harmony work and sudden bursts of slick keyboards or guitar flashiness. Knee deep in contradictions in Dunne's Paisely Park universe, biting lyrics co-exist with a playful sense of humour. It's a conundrum wrapped in a riddle, inside an enigma. But it doesn't sound that way. It sounds bright, pepped up and happy.
