I am a photo-journalist from Yorkshire with a mad passion for all things automotive. I'm mostly into VW's, esp mk1/2 Golf GTi's, old skool Fords and pre 1980 Yank cars, though anything with 4 wheels that's had a lot of time and effort put into it gets my full respect. I have a mk1 Golf (for track days) and a VW camper which gets used all the time in summer and brings with it so much extra freedom, I don't know how I ever lived without it. Everyone should have one!
I hate staying at home in Routineland so I try to travel as much as I can and have so far been to Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Cuba, China, Vietnam, Singapore, Canada, USA and much of Europe. I never do package deals - you never see a country properly that way.
Also really into mountain biking and can often be found somewhere on the trails of Northern England blasting down the side of a mountain, covered in mud, often freezing cold, but loving every minute of it!
When I'm not on my travels or working, I enjoy going out, socialising and generally having a laugh! I'm often to be found in a rock/ metal biased pub/ club somewhere in West Yorks so if you bump into me say hi :) I don't talk about cars all the time - honest!!
Oh yeah, as most of you have discovered by now - I also like banger racing as well :-)
