About Me

SO, WHERE YOU FROM?...... Of Welsh (Valley) and Spanish (Mountain) parentage and raised in West London the journey was always destined to be an interesting one with many a twist and turn. The formative musical years had me searching ever further back in time to the roots of Soul and Jazz and around each corner was an ever more inspiring revelation. The local sound was that of Acid Jazz and from it emerged many a band and DJ. My path took a pretty unconventional route with me naturally drifting in and out of music like the ebb and flow of the tides, and along this drift I have worked with some incredible people (and a couple of bad ones - but it was just a job honest! Darn that need for money to pay bills). The UK is rich in talented musicians and vocalists and we have to ensure they don't all go to the USA as they have enough already. I am a staunch advocate of British Black Music (What is this 'Urban' Business?) and it's contribution to the Global Musical Evolution.
HMM, WHERE YOU AT?...... A group of like minded people have come together to put on events that raise awareness of issues that affect us all using the medium of Film and Music. The organisation is called BrazenBunch so look out for an event coming to a venue near you soon. The tunes on here are from baaack in the day and I'm working on some new material. I can still be seen and heard every now and then and have been known to 'step in and sing' when and if needed
OK, WHERE YOU HEADED?...... BrazenBunch takes up a whole heap of my time as we venture to span the globe doing as much good as possible while supporting the wealth of talent and goodness we have on our very doorstep (or at the door for those without doorsteps). In 2005 we put on a 'Gig For Good' with Imaani, Root Jackson, Alison Evelyn, Elisabeth Troy, Zena Edwards, Eric Appapoulay, Funky DL, K-Scope, Sanchita Farruque, Lifeforce Band, Sri-Vibe and a collection of short films. Watch out for 2007!... PEACE
