About Me

I am Al and I am currently drawing, as you can see in the picture and as you can see at my site www.amdrawing.co.uk
I produce illustrations, comic strips, CD covers, gig flyers and assorted doodles.
I also have a sketchblog which updates every weekday morning at www.amdrawing.wordpress.com .
These are some of my comics:
..
Amusing Paper: A collection of comics based on everyday frustrations: the stupidity of consumer culture, cultural snobbery, fake nature of tabloid TV, the pointlessness of unrequited love. Starring an alienated youth as bad as everyone criticised.
..
A Music Paper: A collection of strips based on many years’ experience of slavishly attending indie gigs and documenting musicians. I love music, but at times the devotion can get a bit silly. In fanzine culture you’ll find gentle mockery, horrible pretensions and perhaps some worthwhile advice. This is a tribute to all those tributes.
..
Bleep & Tweet: A whimsical satire of cultural stereotypes, featuring a robot lad and a pretty bird. ‘A Confused Pursuit’ is the first of a series.
These are available from my webiste through Paypal, Dave’s Comics in Brighton, and directly from me at comic fairs around the country. Please contact me or visit amdrawing.co.uk for more information.
I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V3.6 !
