I was born in Ohio USA in 1973, 3rd generation Serbian / German mix. Growing up in the small conservative town of Wooster, Ohio I was told most of my life I looked foriegn, or differant probably in part because I resembled my Serbian culture heavily. Most people in the states of Russian, or Slavic backround often changed their names, or the spelling, and pronunciation of it due to the cold war, and communist paranoia following WWII. The name ALEXZIQ is a satire of this and is letter play on my last name.As the years went by I felt increasingly isolated and alone. I began to delve into underground culture, and comic books. Now I had found my nich in life and began to purchase samplers, and drum machines in my teens attempting to mirror the underground music I came to love. As I became more and more proficiant with my equipment I came to love the songs I was able to create.I then started playing with several short lived bands only to discover I preferred working on my own. I then released a few cassette tape compilations to the public, and was even reviewed by short lived Cleveland magazine "Unique". After a long battle with anxiety I found myself paranoid, and depressed. I realized I needed a break from the Electronic Music forms I associated with drugs, and the lifestyle I had lead up to that point. I sold my rig, and dove back into the world of alternative comic books, and began to listen to Shock Rock, Punk, and Rockabilly.Years later in 2003 I began to get the urge to create music once again. I purchased new equipment and began to experiment mixing musical vibes of various Shock acts from all differant walks of music like The Misfits, ICP, Gwar, and Skinny Puppy into my sound. I soon found that I had created a dark industrial ambient feel that my music had never had before. I decided my sound was complete and in 2005 I completed my first album titled Bleeps, Blips, and Drips, and have begun work on my second called Electronic Amalgam. Looking toward the future I only hope to continue to create quality Electronic music as the years go on regardless of record label, or not. This music is a part me and I will continue indefinately!......
