manni

Manni is the musical monicka for Tom Cook, multi instrumnetalist, producer, artist, creator general tom fool. Tom plays, guitars, bass, cello, clarinet, hand percussion, szazz, glockenspiel, bass recorder, piano, synth, drum programme and is learning the drums at the moment (he gets bored easily). He is a bonkers live performer who has alot of experience and idiocy to share with the world, coming from funk/punk bands in his teens, playing around the uk and france with the infinite mantra band in his early twenties and working on studio projects, soundtracks, contemporary dance and theatre pieces until he blacks out from lack of not creating. Manni music is experimental but hopefully accessible, using layers of sampled sounds (from either his own playing or jams with the usual suspects), vocals and cut up drums. Currently residing in Brighton but playing more often in Birmingham and Scotland with collaborators who somehow keep asking him back. He has the annoying upbeat/autistic/optimism of a young child but also the darker deeper life experience of a usual rock would-be, Manni is free to create and hopefully fun to explore.
