Tribute to BLACK SABBATH

About Me

Voted 2006 Best Tribute Band by FAIRFIELD WEEKLY!........................................ The Grand Band Slam Turns 3, Announces Some Surprise Winners And Throws Itself A Party... August 10, 2006 By Brita Belli, Randi Hughes and LuAnne RoyBEST TRIBUTE BAND Bit of Finger (Black Sabbath) www.myspace.com/bitoffingerObviously there are lots of heavy metal fans still roaming the county, lusting for the sounds of the band that personifies that genre: Black Sabbath with its dark, drug-induced, guitar-driven frenzies. So popular is the Shelton-based Bit of Finger, who devote their efforts to re-creating the Sabbath experience, that they won the Weekly's category for best tribute band without even being on the ballot. Staple songs in their repertoire include Sabbath favorites such as "Sweet Leaf," "Snowblind" and "Fairies Wear Boots," but they are also known for descending into the '60s band's darker recesses, resurrecting songs like "Into the Void," "Symptom of the Universe" and "Wicked World." One of the highlights of their gigs, sure to bring the devil horn fingers into the air, is a 20-minute rendition of "Sleeping Village/Bit of Finger/Warning." --L.RPaying homage to the Gods of all Heavy Metal, Bit of Finger will burn your soul with an ominous tribute to Black Sabbath. You will hear dark, soulful renditions of Sabbath staples such as Sweet Leaf, Snowblind, Fairies Wear Boots, and War Pigs as well as deeper, darker, cuts such as Into the Void, Symptom of the Universe, Hand of Doom, Wicked World, After Forever, Lord of this World, and the full version of Sleeping Village/Bit of Finger/Warning. It is all about the music and the feelings it evokes. Whether you are a hard-core Sabbath fan or a fan of music in general, you will be moved. We don't pretend or pose, but we'll make your girl tingle from her head down to her toes! I gave her a bit of finger, and she said, "I've never been touched like that before!"
