About Me

All for God’s Glory ............................................................ ..........Get the cd, "Redemption’s Price", my church’s live Praise and Worship experience at www.borntowin.tv For Marty, there could be no bigger blessing than being allowed to serve on the Praise Team and Choir at church. God has called him to do more and with the enthusiasm he has become famous for, Marty has jumped head first into the task. Born in Chicago and raised in nearby Gary, Indiana, Marty was introduced to jazz music by his father. He began singing late in life after hanging up his mic after a extended venture as a rapper. Living in Norfolk, Virginia while in the navy he also spent some time as a producer in the late eighties and early nineties working with various rap acts while developing his production skills. Marty met legendary manager and A&R rep, Shelton Flyth in a music workshop sponsored by the City of Norfolk Parks & Rec. Shelton who now manages Hope Askew, one of the sought-after ministries in gospel music today, and Marty teamed up to work with a rap group who eventually shot a video and was asked to showcase at the prestigious Philly Music Conference in 1995. Marty settled into Jacksonville in the fall of 1996. Since shortly after giving his life to Christ in February 2002, Marty has been serving faithfully and has stayed busy ministering at many local venues. Look for him locally as the ministry continues to grow. The new cd is in pre-production, look for it in early 2009.
