Back in the days
Actually I've really started listening to music very late - at the age of 13. At that time I was infected with a disease called mainstream music and I was mainly used to Dance stuff. But roughly when I got 5 on it and Gangsta's Paradise hitted the Billboard Charts in Germany I began to listen to Rap as well. In the beginning I only recognised the musical part of it. But within time I realized that there was many more to Hip Hop and so I fell in love with it as a culture. I was (and still am) especially fascinated by the old school thinking of a community which bases on tolerance, a kind of violence free and creative way of resistance. With that I was able to relate myself - all the posing around - I was never interested. So I learned to distinguish between real art and fake commerce. The LP Bambule by the german band Beginner forced me completely to be addicted . . .
