...is this thing on?... so...It was like this kind of teenage grunge thing, you dig? Just tryin' to keep the six-string singin' and the hair a-swingin' and no way was i going to let this crazy mixed up world of technological witchery penetrate this pure (and purely pretentious) state of mind. What, electrabasslines and sampled grooves, in a synth-imitating-life-imitating-art kind of world? Me? No way man, no way, got to keep it live, keep it real, analogue and acoustic and kill the digital. A little way down the line and a little further on. things are getting a bit old, a bit tired and new sensations are sought to keep the old feeling alive. there's this strange sibling thing, it sidles up with a glint and a purpose... It gains appreciation and through some Parallel Groovers a brief glimpse of what the mass assumption may be. then this group, this collection of turtles washes up and this back-track i've made guests its appearance at a picnic that they're having. The funk man cometh, with words like "warped" and "mash-ups" and the music begins to take on new shapes and forms between the locking of the rhythm and the slicing of the tape, and i need never search to far for the fresh feeling again 'cause it's right here in front of me the whole time....

...as the rock and/or roll still pervades with the beats and the bass still remaining it seemed like a plan to bring it all out and let it happen, live and direct from the horses mouth and cut up and mashed up for aural indigestion.
And that brings us here...
