Brodie's randoms...
Do it! | Peep show! Check out www.brodieyoung.com It's been said of him that, "If he falls over, he lands on his feet! And continues laughing" If you don't remember the name, you'll definitely remember the face: the blonde intruder from Big Brother 2. The now 29 year-old Design graduate, from Melbourne, sprang onto the entertainment scene after his "bold and quickly accepted" intrusion on Channel 10's BB2 in 2002, and immediately started lapping up the opportunities and riding the rollercoaster of Reality TV Stardom."It's like being thrown into the deep end and told to swim; luckily I'm a good swimmer!"Brodie quickly developed a rapport within the club scene, in particular with a microphone in hand, and the attitude, "I just don't get embarrassed!" Whilst juggling interstate club appearances ranging from the beaches of Perth to the Western suburbs of Sydney, and regular resident MC/Hosting roles everywhere in-between, he kept his feet on the ground, completing university studies whilst generously donating his time to such charity organisations as the Anti-Cancer Council, Camp Quality, TLC and the K.I.D.S. Foundation. His involvement with the K.I.D.S. Foundation grew in 2003 when they secured him as host of their Schools Television Satellite Show, WorkSafe K.I.D.S. SafetyZone, educating children Victoria wide about safety. He also MC'ed their annual auction and went on the road as MC of the K.I.D.S. Road to Ironman, and attends the National Burns Survivors camp annually. It was this experience, coupled with his well-publicised charisma, that gave Brodie the confidence and drive to secure several more hosting and TV Presenter roles for various network pilot shows, including the recently aired lifestyle show, "That's Melbourne", children's quiz show "It's Academic", game show "Win The Break" and as host of a proposed all-codes footy show, "Footy Freaks".Brodie is currently the zany host of Quizmania, a vibrant game show on Channel 9... visit www.ninemsn.com.au/quizmaniaHis ability to take on roles with enthusiasm and confidence saw him play the role of "Tarq", a music show host on Ch10's "Wicked Science" airing nationally, 2004. His on camera presence and quick light hearted whit has provided an easy choice for clients looking to vibe up a promotion, or appeal to the impressionable 15-25 demographic. Recently hosting successful promotions interstate for ANZ, STA Travel, the AFL and Coca Cola, has given him the ability to adapt to different audiences and venues."Hosting the Olympic Torch Relay for Coke was a blast! It was both an exhausting yet challenging day, talking for 13hours straight! Just being involved was fantastic, I loved it€ oh, and I organised the after-party!€? said Brodie after the Melbourne leg of the relay.Brodie achieves balance in his spontaneous, topsy-turvy, Jack-of-all-trades lifestyle, by actively taking a keen interest in art, movies, music and sport. Considered within the entertainment industry as "someone who's going to make it", his peers merely know him as the fun-loving, care-free, cool guy.You can catch Brodie on the box, most nights of the week, on Channel 9... otherwise, word around town is his favourite watering hole is Eve Bar in Southbank.
