About Me

Since the time I was eight years old, I knew that Camp Carefree was the greatest place on earth. Yes, there were years where I didn't like it as much as others, and there were years when it the most difficult in my life (at that point), but it was still amazing. The first year I didn't go back, I realized that it is my heaven on earth. I know that that's hard to understand for most people, but Carefree people get it, and that's why it's so amazing. It's tough making it a full year without being there, nevermind three, but sometimes these things must be done. And at least there are always the memories to make a bad day better and put a smile on my face when it is impossible any other way. There’s this irreplaceable person in my life, and she is my soulmate. Not in the “fall in love” kind of soulmate, but the kind where we’re so similar, that it can be scary sometimes. We compliment each other better than anyone else I know. How did I survive 19 years of my life without her? I’m not quite sure, but I am glad that I’ll have her around for the rest of my life. There are so many other people in my life that are also really important to me, but they aren’t related in a group way, so its nearly impossible to describe them all. Needless to say though, I love the people who I’m close to, and I would do almost anything for all of them. There is also something about the comradorie of sports that really gets me. I have loved all of the teams I have been on throughout the years, especially all of my tennis girls. But I also love the way being a spectator can bring random people together. For me, football is my thing, and I love it. When I was little, I would've told you you were crazy if you predicted that I would love football, but here I am, and I do love it, especially playoff games with the neighborhood. Theres just something about it that makes the small moments really matter in life. It seems as though my entire life is connected in really random ways. Sometimes the connections aren't immediately apparent, but it's always interesting (to say the least) to figure them out. There are times when having everything connected bothers me, but I wouldn't change anything. I'm a firm believer in the saying "everything happens for a reason." It might not make sense right away, but in time, everything that has ever happened to me has helped me to become who I am right now. I have used it all positively and I'm happy with who I am. It’s been a tough journey, but I would have to say that since February 2006, my life has certainly changed a lot. I never thought that I would be the person I am right now, but I am so glad that I am. There are times when it really scares me, and I think it would be easier to revert to the old me, but I know that I wouldn’t be nearly as happy as I am right now, and that makes me smile. And at the end of every day, if a smile has appeared on my face, that is really all that matters. "Diseases can be our spiritual flat tires - disruptions in our lives that seem to be disasters at the time but end by redirecting our lives in a meaningful way." "Change. It has the power to uplift, to heal, to stimulate, surprise, open new doors, bring fresh experience and create excitement in life. Certainly it is worth the risk." "A friend is like a rainbow. They brighten your life when you've been through a storm." "Love me when I least deserve it, because that’s when I really need it." "Heredity is a splendid phenomenon that relieves us of responsibility for our shortcomings." "Age does not diminish the extreme disappointment of having a scoop of ice cream fall from the cone." "Friends are forever, you might lose them but you'll never forget them."Myspace Graphics
