Ok, the last time I put something up here, it was WAY too long, so I'm gonna shorten this section. My most important interests are my wife and children and the rest of my family. Music is next on my list. I love playing guitar and singing, and have had the privelege of doing so with some amazingly talented people, like all of the members of my old band Melson's Mind and everyone I sang with in the Golden Blues at Univ. of Delaware, both were life-changing experiences. I am a HUGE football fan. I'm torn between the love of two teams though... the Packers and Eagles. I feel that when Favre leaves Green Bay, the Packers may have to settle into that number two position on my favorite teams list. I'm going to put working out on this list as the heading is interests...I am interested, I just haven't built up the steam to actually go ahead and do it. Hopefully I can delete that little disclaimer in the very near future.
Eric Clapton... definitely my musical idol. I mean, my daughter's name is Layla, what does that tell you? Will Ferell and any combination of the actors from Wedding Crashers, Old School, Anchorman, Forty Year Old Virgin, etc... That whole group seems like they would be such a blast to party with. Brett Favre; I mean who else embodies the positive characteristics of a competitive athlete like him? And, I would have to say Rachel McAdams (the lead actress in Wedding Crashers, the Notebook, etc...). I said before I'm happily married, but wow she is hot! (If anyone reads this and thinks I'm an asshole for mentioning another woman, I will direct you to my wife's myspace in which she refers to Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley as "super sexy". I rest my case.
This will have to be an ongoing list that I complete in installments as there are so many different musical group or individuals that I love to listen to and/or have influenced my own music. If you actually read this shit, keep posted for new music updates. Ok here goes....in very, very random order Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Crosby Stills Nash and Young (individually or any combination of the four), Buffalo Springfield, The Birds, Santana, The Beatles, Robert Johnson, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, Keb Mo, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, Elton John, John Mayer, Sister Hazel, Dave Matthews, David Gray, James Blunt, Nirvana, Metallica, Tool, Chevelle, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Sevendust, Rage Against the Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Soundgarden, Pantera, OMNISOUL, Grateful Dead, Phish, Pink Floyd, Counting Crows, Radiohead, Weezer, Barenaked Ladies, Tim Mcgraw, Brad Paisley, Alice In Chains, Blind Melon, Harry Connick Jr., OAR, Dispatch, Pat Mcgee Band, Billie Holiday, Miles Davis, Gil Scott Heron, old Korn, Snoop, Eminem, Jack Johnson, G-Love, Edwin Mcain, Gnarls Barkley, The Black Keys, Tenacious D, The Fray, Jamie Cullum, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jamiroquai....

Anything by James Patterson, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior (amazing book that nobody has read), The Hobbit, the whole Lord of the Rings trilogy, Great Expectations, any Shakespeare, of course, the Da Vinci Code. You'd figure that I would have read more of the classics being an English major as I was, but I really haven't. I need to start picking up one classic novel here and there and get caught up.
Eric Clapton is my musical hero, and I would have to say my dad is my all around hero.
