About Me

I have been very blessed in having had some of the best opportunites in my life so far. I am a women that is extremely hardworking, ambitious and has held her own in a male dominated industry. My journey began when I was 23 and always wanted to be in the music business, but living in Miami I didnt know how I was going to make that happen. So a friend of my sisters that was employed by MTV at the time introduced me to the President of Maverick Records Latino while in college, and my deep love for the music industry was born. I worked and excelled as an intern, but unfortunate matters in the industry at that time (2002) made it difficult for me to stay since they closed down the company due to a merger. No sweat.. I went out looking for a job where i could garner some more work experience while staying around music and people in an environment that wasnt mundane. That's when I landed at Barcode Restaurant&Lounge on south beach. Thankfully, God blessed me with being a quick learner and a self motivator so I was quickly promoted from doing routine administrative and personal assistant work, to general manager of 2,000 sq ft and 15 employees plus a kitchen staff. I started out with no real knowledge of fine dining, management or nightclub experience; not to mention I was only 23yrs old and was in the midst of taking 14credit hours per semester at Florida International University. That year was a blur for me I graduated that year with a degree in Business Management, i had started working with my first hiphop group Symbols of Speech, and I had the best on the job training of my life (if you can manage a club you can do anything, trust me!) but sadly the establishment closed down. I then quickly moved over to Nordstrom and worked as a manager in their speciality coffee and cafe division, and moved to Tampa in hopes of getting away from the music scene. But an unforseen car accident that left me pretty badly hurt didn't allow me to continue working there. 6 months later I was fully recovered but still not allowed to do heavy lifiting and my sister was able to connect me with a very ambitious african-american business woman that owned of Circle of One Marketing. This time it was a different industry but it allowed me to stay creative, and gave me the chance to learn advertising, marketing, produce amazing events, and produce beautiful ad campaigns on a daily basis. The environment grew stagnant for me due to the fact that I had simultaneously began managing DJ's and hip-hop legend Prince Markie Dee of the Fatboys. I had met Markie while working at Barcode and always expressed an interest to him about being in the music industry. With that said he began to closely mentor me while I was working with talented artist, dj's and producers in Miami. When I decided to leave Circle of One Marketing it was to start my own company and help my brother start his roofing company. It was all in the name of entreprenuership... and I was glad I did it!! The road has been very challenging and I continue to struggle through these times of economic hardship and an unstable music industry. I have learned so much and traveled all over the world with my artist. I worked with the producers Blackout Movement, DJ's, I revamped the artist known as Smitty career and I am currently developing 2 musical artist right now,Cherry Parris, and DirTeReD. They are on my top friends list check them out listen to there songs and keep your ears open for them. Im also working with a new film director by the name Dominic Boubert and still working with Prince Markie Dee (Every weekeday catch the all new & improved Prince Markie Dee Show on 103.5 the beat from 3-7pm. Hit him up on his personality page and stream the show live from your computers @ www.thebeatmiami.com). I am very much a trendsetter and I know how to enjoy life to the fullest.
