Sergio Zurawski, guitarist ("Madredeus", "Couple Coffee & Band"), composer, arranger, producer, born in 1959, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, based in Portugal since May 2002, professional musician since 1978, has worked as sideman musician and/or producer, arranger with expressive names of Brazilian music and theater in concerts, shows and plays, having also taken part in more than 100 records with a variety of artists.
Besides his solo career as an instrumental and instrumentalist composer, he has specialized himself in composing soundtracks for films, TV, theater, and dance.
As a solo artist he has released “America Zen†and “Pulsaresâ€.
Nowadays, besides playing the guitar at the well known around the world Portuguese group "Madredeus" and at the "Couple Coffee & Band", Zurawski is also the founder, leader and arranger of his own project, the "Zurawski Ensemble", a modern chamber music quintet, which mixes Portuguese music elements in general (fado, contemporary, traditional music), erudite music, pop universe, Brazilian music. "Zurawski Ensemble" is currently recording their first CD, due to be launched soon.
Throughout his carrer he has also shared the stage with several musicians, including Gilberto Gil, Toquinho, Raul de Sousa, Sebastião Tapajós, Raul Seixas, Fagner, LuÃs Gonzaga, Duo Fel, Belchior, Margareth Menezes, Jair Rodrigues, Zé Ramalho, Filipe Mukenga, Raul Indipwo, André Mingas and many others.
