i was born in 1958 near victorville california. from there, my family moved a lot, taking us to billings montana, houston texas, and tampa florida. i spent my junior high and high school years living with my grandparents on a hog farm in gentry arkansas.my art isn't quaint or cliche. it is the recognition of the simple everyday things that are the background of my life. my subjects veer from realism to surrealism, always communicating the moral force of nature.i am in love with my wife camille and our three children: elijah, silas, and sadie rose.
