The name is Ashley. I am totally sold for God and am living my life to please Him. I am a Christian, family is of major importance as well as friends. I believe that family should always be treated fairly and that everyone deserves a second chance. Growing up wasn't always easy. I didn't have my mom so I was left to learn all the things on my own that girl's usually learn from the mom.
Writing and reading are two of my favorite things to do because they take you out of reality and let you either read about fantasy or write about it.
I am in my second year of college and am certain that I want to live my life to help others in any way possible. I've always been a good listener and am really good at being there for people. I've been told that I give good advice which is probably why I want to spend my time helping others with their problems (since I'm not to good at dealing with my own).
In high school the biggest thing i cared about was my appearance and what others thought of me, which in turn led me to bad health decisions in regards to food, but now that I see that God made me who I am for a reason and is the one constant in my life and if I was supposed to look a certain way or have people notice me it would have been that way in the beginning. I now see that I am here to show other's God by the way I live my life and the way I choose my words.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin'." I'm whispering "I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than you, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!
