Disseverence

Female fronted ambient doom metal

About Me

Desolate. Barren. Cold. Suitable adjectives for Alaska, the homeland ofDisseverence founders Sara Fallico and Michael Strickland. After escapingAlaska and finding safe harbor in Portland, Oregon, they would meet up in2005 and begin rampant songwriting. Drawing upon the many European andScandinavian influences they both had in common, they created anexperimental metal sound that crosses the lines of doom, metal, ambient, and gothic.
Despite line up changes, Disseverence managed to play numerous showsat prominent venues throughout 2006, 2007, and 2008, including playingsupport slots for tourings acts such as Kamelot, Finntroll, Epica,Onesidezero, and Aroarah. Disseverence has also shared the stage with topshelf local talent such as Written In Ashes, See Emily Pray, Amara, Quandry, and Pillars Of Nein.
With the addition of Brad Lewellyn (drums) and Enrique Escalona (bass),Disseverence is in the final stages of recording. The debut full length albumwill be released in the near future, followed by lots of shows and touring.
