my friends and family, photography, spiritual journeying, music, books, finding new and strange places in my city.
have you read something fantastic lately? which films have made you think or dream for days afterwards? do you ever wish you could just experience all the world? or maybe just somehow show everyone the beauty surrounding them? have you travelled to a place and left your heart there too? do you also find ducks wonderfully comical? awesome... let's grab some tea or coffee or wine or something and go sit in this corner and talk about it all, shall we?

i own a television, but it is only connected to a dvd player. so don't talk about the latest hot show... i won't have a clue. that said, i love band of brothers, seinfeld, and the west wing. all of which i watch on dvd and used to be on television. so does that count?
dave eggers is a genius and he's my favourite author by far. chuck palahniuk is delightfully disturbing and thought provoking. anything written by the poet and philosopher rilke is beautiful. beyond them, i tend to enjoy things that are considered "literature" of the earlier twentieth century, so authors like flannery o'connor, ernest hemingway, and john steinbeck are also among my favourites. c.s. lewis wrote my favourite childhood books, the chronicles or narnia, but he also wrote some incredible philosophy and spirituality books that i highly recommend too. i used to work in a little indie bookshop and all my co-workers would tease me that i'd read anything that was supposed to be "modern" or "edgy" or "gritty." i suppose that's somewhat accurate, but i'm not hip enough to do something like that on purpose. =)
i honor people who sacrifice greatly for either something or someone that they believe in or love. many humans have done this, but the best example is jesus christ. therefore, i admire him most.
