Born and raised in Queens NYC ILLardscott started off as a Hip Hop producer then quickly began writing songs at the age of 16. Influenced by some of the greatest EMCEES such as Cool G Rap and EPMD Illard soon developed his own unique style. He represents the true essence of Hip Hop culture. Musically he considers the lyrics to be the final instrument to the beat thus making or breaking any musical piece. “Ill’s” style is the medium ground between mainstream rap and grass roots Hip Hop. The content is positive, the flow is intricate and the topics are based on true life experiences that any one can relate to.
