The History-
Condition K began as a two piece acoustic act formed by singer Manian Van Hacker and drummer Kyle Taylor in 2002. In 2003 guitarist Torr and bassist Curtis Tankersley hooked up with Manian and Kyle to complete the band’s outfit.
In 2004, Condition K had much success with radio airplay of their song “On A Sunday†which received spins on 105.7 the “X†Under the Radar and regular prime time. In addition, they received success on the Unsigned Band station on XM Radio with their songs “Long Way Downâ€, “In Your Shadowâ€, and “Radioâ€. These songs reached the top 5 spots two weeks in a row in 2005.
While playing show after show up and down the east coast, they shared the stages with national acts such as Shinedown, Saliva, Breaking Benjamin, Tantric, and Bon Jovi.
Spring of 2005, Condition K released their first full length self-titled CD produced by Marshall Deasy of Stress Free Studios in Harrisburg, PA, selling over a 1,000 copies.
In early of 2006, drummer Kyle and bassist Curtis decided to part ways with the band and pursue other projects.
Meanwhile, Manian and Torr recruited former Breaking Benjamin drummer, Jeremy Hummel and former U.P.C bassist Mick Lower, later to rename as “Until We Riseâ€.
