Stargate SG-1 is a spin-off show of the original film "stargate" it originally started with, General Hammond (Don S. Davis) Colonal/(soon to be) general Jack O'Neil (Richard Dean Anderson), Captain/(soon to be) Major Sam Carter (Amanda Tapping), Doctor Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks), and a "Jaffa" (a human which holds inside of him/her a symbiotic worm called a Goa'ould) named Teal'c (Christopher Judge).
Currently, there are nine seasons along with two seasons of Stargate Atlantis, but that's another story, the SG-1 team is lead by Jack O'Neil for the first 8 seasons, and are currently being led by Lieutenant Colonal Cameron Mitchell.
the SG-1 team has made many alien allies such as, The Asgard, the Tok're, the Nox, the Tollans the Ancients, the Firlings, and a few more Jaffa
