About Me

This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!
Thanks for visiting my music page...My name is Rudy Landa, I am a songwriter/guitar player pop/rock/country as well as music for Television. I work in the entertainment industry but live in Miami, FL...there's plenty of industry there as well but I do better in Nashville...it feels more natural to me...I'm in the process of recording a CD of all original music and hope to have that completed by mid-summer of 08. There are few things in life that I am as passionate about as music...writing it, listening to it...singing it, performing it...just putting my headphones on and sinking into the chair of an airplane for a 2 hour ride of uninterrupted magic...
I love the way that a simple melody can carry you right through the fabric of time to any given place, any given moment in time, bring back the feel, even the scent of a particular moment or situation....the riff to Never Say Goodbye plays and you're there at "The Hole cul-de-sac" with all your buddies and you're dancing with Erin Gallagher on the hood of your beat up white car...you hear the chorus of "Daydream Believer" in an elevator and you're 6 years old in the back yard with a broom for a guitar pretending to be Peter Tork of the Monkees...or while tuning through your radio you come accross Rock of Ages and all of a sudden you're in your first fist fight in 5th grade against Guy Polozzi and you remember holding an ice-cube to your lip back at home, while MTV is playing this new band called Def Leppard...and of course Faithfully pops up in any one of a million places and you're kissing Mary Jane for the first time again in your mind...
The world would suck without music...it lets us remember, dream, scheme, and motivates us to keep reaching for our stars...
One of the first true industry people that I met almost 20 years ago said to me..."no matter what happens and no matter how many times you get your heart broken...don't EVER stop chasing the worm...."...thanks Patrick...I'm still chasing it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sometimes I feel like a broken record.....my "plans" for the future...."man proposes God disposes" my grandma used to say....08 was a good year...in all actuality it may go down as my most important year ever, as the major turning points of my life came about in 08....I packed it up in Florida, took a job at INSP as a staff producer....returned to Charlotte full time.....so with this being my "music page" why is all of this so relevant? because in doing so I have poised myself to do my best music ever....in a couple of months God-willing I'm going to have my home studio up and running and already 2 months into being here some amzing things are happening for me....I'm more excited about my musical future than I have been in a very long time....thanks for hanging with me.....soon I'll have more music to post up...much love to all of you!
Rudy! :)
Sounds Like: I'm definitely a kid who grew up with a guitar in his hands playing rock and roll...however the one thing that I always prided myself in (even back then) was that I was a musician and not a "headbanger"...over the years and due to a desire to be a studio player as well as a songwriter I have come to embrace all styles of music as long as the production quality is there...I will be listening to Good Charlotte one minute and then I'm listening to ELO or Pink Floyd...I have no problems with London-London-Londoning with Fergie, and singing along to Garth Brooks or Keith Urban...there is too much to enjoy, learn, and appreciate in all forms of music to just get caught in one...I find that my songwriting reflects this, weather I'm writing on guitar or piano...I am a sum of my many musical parts...
